Nick Irwin heads up Basso & Brooke AW11
Nick Irwin has worked as a hairdresser for over 20 years. His career has taken him around the Globe many times. He spent the early 90s working in Australia and on returning to Europe worked as a session stylist before joining TIGI as Creative Director in 2001 when he was asked by iconic hairdresser Anthony Mascolo to help establish the TIGI International Creative Team and Bed Head photographic studios.
Nick works on all TIGI’s photo collections and creates hairstyles for TIGI marketing imagery and brand photography. He also regularly participates in hair shows for TIGI around the world, creating TIGI Couture hair.
He has styled the hair of many celebrities, actors and models and worked with top photographers and magazine editors.
Over the last 5 years Nick has worked on many fashion shows including Vivienne Westwood Gold Label, Felder Felder, Basso & Brooke, Christopher Kane, Pringle, Jonathan Saunders, Julian J Smith and Mary Katrantzou.
Nick is a highly skilled chef and sometime DJ. Based in London, Nick is married with 1 daughter.
